I'm Kaleigh (KAY-lee).

- Why pineapples? It's more about the symbolism than about the literal fruit. Pineapples stand for hospitality, friendship, and welcome. These are all things I hope to stand for and accomplish in my day to day life.

- Why poser? The irony. I'm super passionate about all forms of media (movies, music, books, television...etc.), and when I fall in love with a new album or film, I tend to dissect it until there's almost nothing left for me to learn from it. This, I believe, makes me the exact opposite of a poser: a person who acts in an affected manner in order to impress others. In fact, after reading some of my reviews and opinions on things, you may even find I tend to oppose the popular opinion. Not on purpose, not to be a contrarian, but it's just something I've noticed about myself.

- Why a blog? Because I'm tired of blathering on about things I'm passionate about in limited characters, and I'm hoping to meet people with similar interests and to hold enlightening discussions. I started to feel a disconnect between myself and others when I was speaking in depth about things I care about. I found myself listening to a lot of movie podcasts and reading critiques only to have no one to debate about alternative concepts with. While I love listening to podcasts and reading reviews, I loathe being unable to present an unspoken perspective into the mix. This blog is so I can provide myself with that outlet, but also so I can hear other opinions and perspectives that I may not have considered and that may not be represented by pop culture reviews and news outlets.
