Genre: Post-hardcore, experimental rock

Comments:

Experimental rock is exactly how I'd describe Dance Gavin Dance's Mothership.

What I love about it is not only the incredible vocals, but the progression and unique dynamic that can be heard in every song that's unlike any other predictable post hardcore band in the limelight right now.

While DGD did just release a newer album, Artificial Selection, none of their albums have touched me in the way Mothership has. I can listen to this album any time, anywhere, no matter the mood I'm in.

If you haven't already heard it, here's my personal favorite track off their 2016 release.

About

pineappleposer is: Kaleigh (KAY-lee).

- This blog is a forum for lovers of film, music, and other forms of media that may not be recognized in pop culture as we'd like them to be. The goal is to hold open discussions about media and to shine light on multiple perspectives, not just popular opinion.

- Why pineapples? It's more about the symbolism than about the literal fruit. Why poser? The irony. Why a blog? Because I'm tired of blathering on about things I'm passionate about in limited characters, and I'm hoping to meet people with similar interests and hold enlightening discussions.
