Comments:

In extreme premature preparation for Warped Tour's final lineup this summer, I'm listening to Trash Boat!

The album's opening song 'Strangers' ft. Soupy Campbell from The Wonder Years captivated me right off the bat. 'Tring Quarry' and 'Second Wind' are total pop punk headbangers, but my personal favorite is 'Catharsis'. This one stole my soul with lyrics like, "Life fucks me up sometimes, but I don't wanna miss it", "Life will eat you if you let it", and "This earth will never know my knees".

I'm considering a tattoo of lyrics from this song - I am that serious.

Nothing I Write You Can Change What You've Been Through discusses everything from broken relationships and the effects of divorce on young children to broken psyches and coming to grips with even the darkest aspects of yourself as an adult.

Trash Boat is definitely a band worth checking out if you love the pop punk genre and all the heartache that comes with it!

About

pineappleposer is: Kaleigh (KAY-lee).

- This blog is a forum for lovers of film, music, and other forms of media that may not be recognized in pop culture as we'd like them to be. The goal is to hold open discussions about media and to shine light on multiple perspectives, not just popular opinion.

- Why pineapples? It's more about the symbolism than about the literal fruit. Why poser? The irony. Why a blog? Because I'm tired of blathering on about things I'm passionate about in limited characters, and I'm hoping to meet people with similar interests and hold enlightening discussions.
