Artist: Turnover
Album: Good Nature
Genre: Indie, Dream pop
Comments:
Turnover is ever-changing.
Beginning with their pop-punk sound of their 2013 album Magnolia, then transforming to their emo, indie, dream pop sound of Peripheral Vision in 2015, Turnover sticks with the dream pop sound in 2017's Good Nature, but they've ditched the sad breakup songs to ignite a vibe suited for a sunny California beach surrounded by pretty girls and good friends.
While their biggest songs of the album are ‘Super Natural’, ‘Sunshine Type’, and ‘Pure Devotion’, my personal favorites are ‘Breeze’, ‘Butterfly Dream’, and ‘Nightlight Girl’.
Maturing out of their emo-phase Peripheral Vision, as we all must do from time to time, Turnover created a feel-good album fit to play in the background of any happy, rom com montage.
With Tunrover’s chameleon tendencies, I foresee a colorful and ever expanding sound that will keep things interesting for albums to come.
